Job Overview

Individual must be passionate about running, and growing the sport of running within the Twin Ports community.   The Retail Operations  Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of Duluth Running Co. including creating an exceptional customer experience and work environment for the staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain a team-wide focus on fitting every customer so that they can have the best possible experience before, during, and after their run.
  • Manage Inventory levels and assist in purchasing select  inventory departments while following budget expectations.
  • Communicate regularly and collaborate with owners on retail performance
  • Hire and train employees with the objective of creating exceptional customer service. Develop continuous training for staff on evolving customer service processes and changing product lines.
  • Lead staff communication efforts, including staff meetings to ensure that store staff are aware of store initiatives, customer promotions, in-store events, and hosted events.
  • Organize and Execute in store promotions
  • Oversee Social Media accounts for consistency and brand appeal
  • Attend weekly manager meetings as well as quarterly and annual planning sessions.
  • Manage sponsorship and donation requests
  • Write the schedule while abiding outlined payroll budget and performance of staff
  • Check in and receive inventory
  • Update E-commerce website with product images, descriptions, and inventory availability
  • Hold staff reviews throughout probation period to annual part-time reviews
  • Assist with general bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Other duties as requested by owners not outlined here related to creating a successful experience for customers and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years retail experience, management level preferred.
  • Must be outgoing, a fantastic listener, and problem solver.
  • Must be a current runner to relate to customers.
  • Sales experience required
  • Must be available for some nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work Holidays

Job Overview 

Duluth Running Co. is looking for an experienced and versatile part time marketing manager who understands, and can effectively market the Duluth Running Co.’s core mission: to inspire our active community. We are looking for an innovative, dynamic, and dedicated person to develop and implement brand strategies and standards that cross all divisions of Duluth Running Co. This individual should be able to tell the story of each division to connect with our customers and community. This position is 15-20 hours per week.

Marketing Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and Implement marketing strategies and brand standards
  • Oversee Social Media accounts for consistency and brand appeal using videos, photos, and lives
  • Develop Marketing materials for promotions, campaigns and events
  • Draft Email marketing campaigns, Social Media posts, press releases, and materials that represent the culture and goals of Duluth Running Co.
  • Support the execution of in-store promotions
  • Attend weekly leadership team meetings
  • Manage partnership recruitment and sponsor contracts
  • Update senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and report on the results and ROI
  • Post on google business, photos, updates, reviews, etc. to drive increased online presence
  • Coordinate with sales and management to produce effective strategies
  • Other duties as requested by owners not outlined here related to creating a successful experience for customers and staff.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent in Marketing
  • Proficiency in online marketing and social media strategy
  • Proven success in designing interactive applications and networking platforms
  • Willingness to travel
  • Established contacts in media
  • Must be outgoing, a fantastic listener, and problem solver.
  • Independently motivated and work well within a team.
  • Must be a current runner to relate to customers.
  • Must be available for some nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work some Holidays
