Job Overview

Duluth Running Co. is looking for an experienced and versatile part time marketing manager who understands, and can effectively market that Duluth Running Co.’s core mission is to inspire our active community. We are looking for an innovative, dynamic, and dedicated person to develop and implement brand strategies and standards that cross all divisions of  Duluth Running Co.

Marketing Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement marketing strategies and brand standards
  • Oversee Social Media accounts for consistency and brand appeal using videos, photos, and lives
  • Develop Marketing Materials for promotions, campaigns and events
  • Develop consistent marketing and brand strategies for the retail, corporate wellness, and events divisions of Duluth Running Co.
  • Draft Email marketing campaigns,  Social Media posts, press releases, and materials that represent the culture and goals of Duluth Running Co.
  • Support the execution of in store promotions 
  • Attend weekly manager meetings
  • Manage sponsorship and donation requests
  • Update senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and report on the results and ROI 
  • Post on google business, photos, updates, reviews, etc. to drive increased online presence
  • Coordinate with sales and management to produce effective strategies 
  • Other duties as requested by owners not outlined here related to creating a successful experience for customers and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent in Marketing 
  • Proficiency in online marketing and social media strategy
  • Proven success in designing interactive applications and networking platforms
  • Willingness to travel
  • Established contacts in media
  • Must be outgoing, a fantastic listener, and problem solver.
  • Must be a current runner to relate to customers.
  • Must be available for some nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work Holidays

Job Overview

Working with customers on the sales floor to create memorable experiences.

Availability

  • Evenings (3-7pm)
  • Weekends (10am-5pm)
  • Some Holidays required on a rotating/seniority basis
  • Occasional Daytime availability is a bonus
  • A minimum of 10 hrs/week is desired

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Educate customers to encourage their running and walking needs
  • Present a clean retail experience at all times
  • Assist in store merchandising as needed
  • Navigate a Point Of Sales system
  • Check in and display new products upon arrival
  • Some race and event assistance will be required
  • Assist with in store events
  • Additional tasks and requests as needed per management
  • Assist in organizing and aiding off site events

Qualifications

  • Must LOVE running (most of the time)
  • Excellent customer service
  • Must be an effective communicator
  • Computer friendly (MAC, PC, tablet)
  • Should have capacity to do moderate lifting
  • Love working with an active community
  • Stays current within the running industry
